Project Initiatives

Location: Downtown Muncie, adjacent to Muncie Central High School and across from McKinley Live-Learn Neighborhood

The YMCA project is not an initiative of a Project Management Team, but is supported by Next Muncie as a project that will benefit the people of Muncie.

Through collaboration, the new YMCA will impact the health, educational attainment and work force development outputs in the Muncie community.

Aquatic Center for YMCA and Muncie Central.
Clinic and educational space for Indiana University Health, Open Door Health Services, and Ball State University’s Health Lifestyle Center.
Internship and professional experiences for Ball State University, Ivy Tech Community College, Muncie Community Schools and Muncie Area Career Center students.
