Project Initiatives
Location: Business District located adjacent to Ball State University’s campus
The Village revitalization project is not an initiative of a Project Management Team, but is supported by Next Muncie as a project that will benefit the people of Muncie.
The revitalization of The Village, including a new Performing Arts Center, is set to provide generational change for the university and Muncie community that seeks to welcome and engage them through live, work, and play opportunities.
PAC: New Performing Arts Center to create opportunity for high school and community groups.
Tapestry by Hilton Hotel
Retail and restaurant tenants, and apartments on the southeast corner of University and McKinley Avenues.
New Center for Innovation to promote entrepreneurship and business expansion in the region, located at the southeast corner of Ashland Avenue and Main Street.
For-sale townhomes, condos, and apartments located between North and Gilbert Streets.
Activity center and event plaza
Campus and community bookstore in discussion.
The University is working with the city and the residents of Riverside Normal neighborhood to improve pedestrian and bicycle access between The Village and downtown Muncie.
